Project Manager - £26,000 (circa) 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, 7% pension contribution and flexible working

Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen is in an exciting period of development and we are looking for highly skilled, organised and passionate individual to join us as a project manager. 

We have a full time position available. If you have experience in project management, managing staff, excellent knowledge of local services amd experience in working with people and have a passion for Health and Social care we want to hear from you. You should be a highly motivated and experienced individual who is able to multi task.

Board Members/Directors needed:

Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen is in an exciting period of development and we are looking for highly skilled and motivated professional board members/directors to provide strategic leadership.

Essential requirements are excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships, ability to participate effectively in discussions, effectively problem solving and analytical skills, ability to work as part of a team and motivate others, demonstrate experience in representing the 'voice' of others, possess qualities of integrity, credibility, drive and a passion for improving health and social care services and willing to undertake training to continue to develop skills, experience and knowledge to fulfil the role of board member/director.

Desirable requirements are strong connections with and knowledge of local communities, networks and services, understanding of the challenges facing the NHS and Local Government which may impact on  community health and wellbeing, understanding of the Health and Well Being Board, Scrutiny, NHS Trust and Clinical Commissioning group functions, experience of working with a diverse range of local partners and networks eg Third Sector organisations, Council, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Health and Social Care providers

Volunteers needed with experience of eating disorders:

Healthwatch Blackburn are soon to embark on an exciting new project exploring the views and experiences of young people who have experienced an eating disorder.

We are looking for volunteers with lived (personal) experience and/or family members who have supported a young person to help design and deliver the project.  We hope by listening to young people's experiences we can help ensure local provision best meets the needs of those experiencing or at risk of developing an eating disorder.

In addition, the project will also explore body image and how this impacts young people's physical and mental health.  Help shape local services now and for the future.
